 When visiting the office of Dr. Deanna Wu in Los Altos, we make every effort to create a friendly, patient centered environment. We work together to provide comprehensive dental care for children, adults, and seniors. We treat each patient like family. We are a small private practice and are not affiliated to any large dental corporation. This means that we can focus on individual patient care. Whether your dental needs are a complete exam and cleaning, a full mouth restoration, or anything in between, we promise to provide you with the best care.  Although we do offer same-day appointments when available, we encourage making appointments as far in advance as possible. As a practice, we believe that prevention and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We aim to practice “dental health care” rather than treat “dental disease." Therefore our dentist completes thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing VELscope® advanced oral cancer screening, using diagnostic intra-oral photos and taking digital x-rays when necessary.

CAD/CAM dentistry such as CEREC® is the future of dentistry. Utilizing modern technology, our office can produce an accurate, safe, biocompatible porcelain crown, inlay, onlay and even bridges in just one visit. 

Implant supported dental crowns are currently the ideal treatment option for replacing missing teeth. Rather than having removable dentures, or damaging adjacent teeth to support a bridge, dental implants are safe, predictable, long-term crown replacements for single or multiple missing teeth.

Teeth grinding or clenching, also known as bruxism, is very common and can be painful and destructive. Occasional bruxism may not cause any immediate symptoms, but over time, it can cause tooth pain, broken teeth, loss of tooth enamel, headaches and migraines, and jaw pain.  Most cases of bruxism can be treated with a night guard. Night guards are also known as dental guards, mouth guards, bite plates, or bite splints. When you clench or grind, the night guard helps to absorb the tension and give cushion to the muscles in the jaw. Zoom! is an In-Office procedure for whitening dark, yellow and discolored teeth. Teeth whitening is a non-invasive procedure that can make a smile look younger and healthier immediately. Zoom! teeth whitening can lighten up to 8 shades in about an hour.

Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You’ll achieve a great cosmetic smile with little interference in your daily life.
